November 2007:

A big surprise was awaiting the children of the Petit Prince on Monday the 5th of Novembre when the French Singer Hervé Demon visited them to sing and play guitar with an enchanted public!
5th and 6th of November, Ali Silem a prominent Franco-Algerian painter, gave a two days workshop to a group of 12 children about different painting techniques. An album is to be done and presented to EJE as the outcome of this workshop.
October and November 2007: Anne Toquet a young artist who is holding a number of workshops all over the West Bank is actually giving two workshops at Jalazon refugee camp about sketching the neighborhood with a group of 6 very talented children. The outcome of this workshop would be exhibited in January 2008 at the French Cultural Centre in Ramallah, and also at the UNESCO hall in Paris.
Activity during September 2007 :
We at EJE hosted a prominent young cartoonist, who offered one month training for 12 children, in comic drawings.
Maxime Rodreiguez showed children how easy drawing different facial complexions, then moved to the story phase in drawing in a critical way different stories, such as fears, dreams, funny drawing each others in funny way, animators and Ramadan iftar.
The results were marvelous as, we are envisaging in making a booklet including these cartoons.
Activities during August 2007 :
Lately and during the month of August EJE hosted Mandine Guillaume an artist from France who is running a theatre in Nice (France) to share with EJE a project called "C'est l'histoire d'une valise".
Mandine Guillaume held her little suitcase project, Mandine valise is what this artist prefers to be referred to.
This project that was held in many cities in the world that are hit by poverty, struggles, and wars, such as (Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Egypt, and Palestine) this project was also going to take place in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and also in Gaza, but political situation was a barrier in front it.
The project’s main aim is to lead children to understand and talk about their struggles in a creative way, and then offer their stories or plays to other children facing the same struggle.
Then these stories are to be all gathered and played by Mandine in front of an audience, in France.
Description of the project:
A global artistic program, where a group of 12 children aged from 10-12, gathered with Mandine and Moshira constant animator at Jalazon Refugee Camp.
A debate under the frontiers subject was opened for the first time with children, they all agreed for once about new frontiers that is obviously the wall, children were very creative in inventing, and imagining all kind of stories on the other side of the wall, most of these children believe that a wonder world exists behind.
Then sketching the other side, and writing a whole script of characters from both sides.
Then they had to build up the story in that small suit case. Creating the puppets, and dressing them, installing decorations, choosing the music for the show also registering their own voices as they a played the roles and moved their puppets.
A small theatre is build now at the activities hall at Jalazon, this play could be played when ever the children want, and also new plays are being elaborated with the animator Mochira using the same technique.
June 2007: Clowns without Boarders held two shows in both refugee camps with the presence of children and parents, a number of 120 spectators attended each show.
February 2007: Boomchuka circus, a group of clowns from England held two shows in both Jalazon and shufat, each show have received at least a number of 150 children.
