Deir Ammar activity centre welcomes more than 100 children between the ages of 6 and 12 every weekday afternoon.
Deir Ammar is approximately 30 minutes north-west of Ramallah. The camp was built in 1949 and was named after a nearby village. Residents of the village agreed to lease land to UNRWA to establish the camp. It hosts some 2,400 people
The activity centre offers numerous activities for children: Drawings, dance, rule games and recreational space. The centre has 4 rooms in a building shared with the Rehabilitation Centre for Disabled. The activity team, led by Mohammed, is composed of Wafa Falestin and Mervat.
