Jalazone Center

The activity centre of Jalazone was created in 2002 and welcomes children aged between 6 and 12 years. Through various types of activities the centre tries to develop the skills and knowledge of the children

Jalazone is a refugee camp 7km north of Ramallah. It hosts about 10 000 refugees.
The camp was established in 1949 on an area of 25 hectares. Most refugees in this camp are from Lydda (Lod) and central regions of Palestine, following the 1948 conflict.

The centre was established to provide the children of Jalazone and the surrounding villages with a place of safety which was ready to meet their needs.  Over 250 children are registered in the activity centre.
