Find below a short description of the centers we support in the Wes Bank, together with some pictures and videos

Nur Shams Center

From August 2008 to February 2009 EJE has maintained the activity centre at the refugee camp of Nur Shams. It receives an average of 140 children per day. Located 3 km east of Tulkarem, the refugee camp was established in 1952 and now hosts more than 9,000 people. The activity centre has benefited from the psyco-social program of UNRWA.

Deir Ammar Center

Deir Ammar activity centre welcomes more than 100 children between the ages of 6 and 12 every weekday afternoon.

Deir Ammar is approximately 30 minutes north-west of Ramallah. The camp was built in 1949 and was named after a nearby village. Residents of the village agreed to lease land to UNRWA to establish the camp. It hosts some 2,400 people

Aqbet Jaber Center

Since 2008, EJE has decided to give its support to the activity centre at the refugee camp Aqbat Jabr. The centre accommodates approximately 50 children. The centre is open every afternoon, except in summer, when it opens only in the evening because of heat.

Jalazone Center

The activity centre of Jalazone was created in 2002 and welcomes children aged between 6 and 12 years. Through various types of activities the centre tries to develop the skills and knowledge of the children

Shufat Center

The activity centre at Shu’fat was created in 2004 and serves children from 5 to 14 years of age.

Established in 1965, Shu’fat refugee camp is the only camp in the West Bank to be within the municipal boundaries of Jerusalem. Therefore, these refugees possess a Jerusalem identity card which guarantees the right of residence in Jerusalem and gives access to different Israeli social services such as health insurance.

Al Aroub center

EJE supports the play and animation  center for children in the refugee camp of Al Arub, located between Bethlehem and Hebron.
The center is open every afternoon after school and welcomes around 400 children during the week. In addition to the toy library, the center is very active and proposes many creative activities such as circus, puppetry, photography, and science games are offered to 9-12 years.
